OBO 1938 Gibson "Kalamazoo" Sport Model Guitar in Abingdon, MD

1938 Latter braced Gibson small bodied guitar ready for the blues.Measurements1 1/2 inch at the nut8 3/4 inches upper bout12 1/2 inches at the lower boutAll original. Repaired rib, scratch on the back.Great shape for it's age. New Bone Saddle, tuners work great, action is a dream at less than 1/8 inch. at the 12th fret. Plays like butter.Beautiful warm mahogany sound. All solid woods including the Spruce top. Just a great little guitar that seems to fit right in your lap. A real piece of Gibson history. You can own this one for much less than half of what it would cost you if it said "Gibson" on the headstock. A truss rod is nice but it isn't worth that much and you don't need it on this guitar anyway. Bought this one about a year ago for nostalgia--my grandfather owned the same model in 1936. Now I'm ready to move on. It will come well packed in the original chipboard case in the picture.
