I'm a female and I bought this motorcycle as a beginner bike in 2011. It has been great! I've had fun personalizing it a little by adding the more stylistic ISO grips and flame-tip mirrors. While I don't currently work in town, this past summer I did and I usually parked it in the free motorcycle parking area in Downtown Pittsburgh, and nearly every day that I either dropped it off or picked it up, I got positive compliments on the style of the bike. Usually the question, "What kind of bike is that?" was the most common and it gave me an opportunity to describe some of the positive attributes of this cycle; like the fact that it's fully automatic, with features such as an anti-theft locking gas tank, sound system including concealed hi-fi speakers with AM/FM radio and MP3 hookup, hydraulic braking, comfortable seating and much more. It's easy to ride, has excellent balance, a 250cc liquid cooled motor, and as low to the ground as a Honda Rebel, - this is a top seller for new riders and commuters that like the bike style rather than the step through scooter! This cycle also has a helmet lock on the rear of the cycle along with the feature of a locking steering wheel. The dealership installed a Junior Battery Tender so that is also included in the purchase. The V5 has been tested on a 7,500 mile ride with great reports. CF Moto bikes are EPA & CARB certified, and DOT compliant.
I'd say if you were to compare it to a more recognizable brand the best comparison would be the Honda Rebel 250. It is light weight and very easy to handle as mentioned, plus its relaxed riding position allows you to cruise around all day in comfort. This little motorcycle is very responsive when compared to other 250cc's in its class; it's quick off the line and still has some power when cruising at 60 or 70. This motorcycle is very light with a dry weight of only 365 lbs and the frame of the motorcycle would fit smaller riders ideally. I'm 5'6" and it has worked out perfectly for me. Unfortunately if you are a larger guy (or gal), over 6 feet tall or so, you may find this little guy just a bit too cramped, but if you're any height under 6' it should be pretty ideal.
