Lamp, Antique Chinese Wine Barrel- rewiring just done in San Rafael, CA

This is an antique earthenware Chinese wine barrel with five lion heads. It was converted to a standing lamp by the previous owner.
Purchased when living in Hong Kong in 1972 from an antique store on the island in mid-levels with an old friend who is an upper class Chinese lady who over the years had made prior purchases from the store.
It has two light fixtures and an individual switch for each on the walnut cover, and it has a walnut base with four feet. Plus a large off-white silk lampshade with lining that telescopes up & down.
Age is unknown, probably mid 1800's from China. Visible are several markings on the exterior which probably were the wine maker's label.
