19-32 Harley-Davidson "VL" Olive in Vista, CA

.................1932 Harley Davidson VL in very nice, riding condition. All sheet metal appears to be original with the exception of the tanks. They are beautifully made and nearly indistinguishable from the originals - highest quality, and professionally painted with matching original color in single stage acrylic enamel rather than incorrect basecoat/clearcoat. Engine runs well, oils well, and features undamaged untouched cases with matching case numbers. Bottom end appears to have never been apart, but oil pump was inspected for proper function and reinstalled with new gaskets and seals. Heads were removed, de-coked and reinstalled with correct head bolts and washers and are free from cracks or warping. Plugs are original HD units. Carburetor is the original Schebler DLX 88, in great shape and performing well. Transmission runs fine, shifts properly, and has had an upgraded throw out bearing installed for quiet, smooth clutch action. New clutch plates and springs also installed, as was a new 23 tooth drive sprocket (for better top end speed) and a new primary chain. Rims are original, have some evidence of corrosion removed, but appear sound. New Coker reproduction tires and tubes were fitted last year, and are near duplicates of the Goodyear 4.00x19's originally on the bike. Saddle is a Messinger-marked number 4 reproduction, beautifully made, and correct for the year. Headlamp is a reproduction Motolamp-marked unit with Motolamp marked flat lens, very high quality and correct for a 1932. Electrics are great with proper wiring loom, original horn, voltmeter and switches. A reproduction brake light switch (not originally fitted in '32) was installed for safety. Original generator charges strong, and bike features a acid-free gel battery. Handlebars are high quality reproductions, with spirals original and in nice shape. Most 1932 VLs did not have speedometers, so actual mileage is unknown.....
